Welcome to the Journey.
I believe that the journey is more important than the destination.
Our journey, our phases in life, shapes us more than anything. My writing...even though it is quite average...is my legacy to my kids and anyone else that gains value from my experiences.

My Journey
I am Laura Smith and I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I attended the University of Missouri, Columbia where I met my husband in Marching Mizzou. We got married in June of 1992 and moved to Kansas City where we had our kids now aged 19 and 22. We lived in England for a year for Jay's work and this is where I found the travel bug and a desire to learn more about other cultures.
After teaching for 25 years as either a classroom teacher, a para, a substitute or a preschool director, I am officially hanging up my teaching hat in pursuit of finding more, learning more and sharing more. This a place where I can combine all of the things I love with hopes that you will find value from years of successes, failures and life experiences.
